Nicola is a commercial and Intellectual Property litigator by training. For over 10 years she has also provided specialist advice to the advertising industry. Her commercial litigation practice has encompassed wide range of disputes from minority shareholder proceedings, breaches of dealership agreements, warranty claims and judicial reviews. She also has considerable experience of obtaining injunctive relief to prevent ex-executives and employees from using confidential information or breaching their restrictive covenants.
Nicola’s specialist advertising advice includes advising on concept and copy clearance, legal and practical advice on I.P. rights, advertising codes and specific areas of regulation and helping agencies to persuade the clearance centres to approve a commercial or in responding to a complaint made to the ASA. She also has in-house advertising agency experience and prepares a full range of commercial contracts required in the provision of marketing services.
Nicola also has particular expertise in the increasing range of digital media. advising on online issues since 1998. She has worked on the regulation of online business and the drafting of website terms and conditions for transactional and non-transactional sites and social networks. She has written articles and spoken at a number of conferences on email and search marketing, branded content and internet trespass.
